They were nice bikes until Trek ruined them with their own weird proprietary axles. Sheer greed that forces you to buy any wheel upgrades from Trek. Stinkers.

Lives up to the hype. Fast rolling and quiet and feels confident and secure on cornering and gravel. I went tubeless with it and the tire is really holding pressure. Usually with new tubeless it takes a few rides to hold pressure, with this I'm not needing a weekly reinflation. Will be my go to from now.

Trek has soo many bikes and stuff, maybe too many, but having a second option in drive train was not a possibility? .. this sucks, don't want electronic, don't want sram, don't want 1x.. and it's getting too damn expensive. I probably going to another brand this time.

It's a wet noodle. The gen 7 is already too comfortable to the point where I have to check for flats. Also the Emonda is not designed to be comfortable but stiff. And actually lighter than it's predecessor. Of which its neither. Who is this thing for?

Everything looks good except the pricing which when compared to the Grail CFR (7.5 kg) makes no sense. 2400 euros more expensive (at time of writing) with less customization. I would prefer the Checkmate, but you are providing no incentive.

On sale during the winter or black friday this bike will be interesting. At the current price... not much (even if I like Trek)
